Our interpreters have worked extensively across different settings, assisting Chinese patients in both public and private hospitals. Some of us in fact have been in-house medical interpreters of some large public hospitals in Melbourne.
Many of us are also interpreting over the phone for Telehealth and the government owned Translation & Interpreting Service (TIS). Our phone interpreter May Chen is one of the two phone interpreters for the AUSIT Excellence Award.
We have also assisted major hospitals like St Vincent and Alfred when they host Chinese doctors for exchange and training programs. These include morning ward walks, doctors’ meetings as well as live operation demo.
We also have Worksafe registered interpreters, who can interpret for Workcover patients.
